We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all these people who helped us
on our way from TrapDoor 1.80 to 1.83. Those of you who sent in bug reports,
suggested new enhancements, flooded the beta testers conference with mail,
proof-read the manuals and so on. Thank you all for your assistance. We
usually don't mention specific names, but this time there has been one
person who really stood out of the beta crew. We have decided to give this
years "beta tester of the year" award to ... *music!* *lights!* *action!*
Roger Nordin!
None of us can understand how he does it. You send him a new beta, and
half an hour later he sends you back the most amazing and clear bug reports,
as if he had spent weeks on getting to know the program. The messages with
his bug reports are hard enough to _type_ in this half hour, yet he does not
only type them but track the bugs down in the first place.
The other person who really needs to be held high is Arnout Grootveld.
Silently he's been proofreading our manuals over and over, pointing out
the obvious and not-so-obvious little mistakes and blurbs which leave our
keyboards. Again and again, with patience, he's been re-reading every
revision of the docs and it's due to his work that our documentation is
the way you see it now.
Also on the beta team and responsible for all the bugs still left: :-)
Tony Miller, who has given up the TSC to find more time for beta testing.
Lawrence Freeman, taking over the TSC from Tony.
Iljitsch van Beijnum, the last 1.3 user has finally switched to 2.04.
Manfred Schädler, Swiss smoker, expert user.
Heiko Richter, early beta testing; we need to say bye bye to you Heiko:
good luck in a world without FidoNet;
hope to see you back one day!
Marcus Kuba, beta tester, just beta tester.
Andreas Schildbach, "I need RINGSPAWN, I need RINGSPAWN, I need RING..."
Nick Lello, AreaFix magician, PeeCees are taking over the world...
Carl-Christian Kanne, AmigaOS/2.
Stefan Becker, Fax und sonst gar nix.
Stefan Stuntz, how could TrapDoor possibly use a filerequester?
Fredrik Kjellberg, ARexx Wizzard, Scheduler Supreme.
Jürgen Hermann, alpha/beta TrapDoor vs. alpha/beta Chameleon -- who's
gonna release first? ;-)
Martin Ortlepp, just Martin Ortlepp.
Finally, we need to say thanks to all our registered users. There are
times when we ask ourselves if all this trouble is really worth it. But
then, there are so many people actually _using_ our software, and that
gives us a warm and happy feeling. Thank you all for supporting Shareware.
